This series of deluxe prints illustrates Ichikawa Danjûrô IX in roles collected by Danjûrô VII and performed by him and others named Danjûrô. It was executed jointly by Tadakiyo and his father Kiyosada Torii (1844-1901). The drawing of the father’s part is reminiscent of the early Torii masters. |
